Over 30 Tanzanian enterprises to set off for China International Import Expo
Published 02 November 2026
Tanzania is stepping up efforts to expand its exports to China, sending more than 30 businesses and government institutions to the ninth China International Import Expo (CIIE), scheduled for November 5–10, 2026, in Shanghai. The delegation will showcase products including coffee, tea, honey, avocados and cocoa, as Tanzanian exporters seek new buyers and business partnerships in the Chinese market. The participation comes as China implements zero-tariff treatment for 53 African countries, creating new opportunities for trade and economic cooperation. Tanzanian trade officials and exporters say the CIIE provides an important platform to connect with international buyers and promote locally produced goods. This year's expo is expected to attract 162 countries, regions and international organizations, with more than 4,100 overseas companies exhibiting. #Tanzania #China #CIIE2026 #ChinaAfricaTrade #TanzanianExports #AfricanAgriculture #ZeroTariff #ChinaTanzaniaRelations #InternationalTrade
